Александр Рыбак is a very talented. On the CD "Fairytales" he sings, plays the piano, violin and other strings. He wrote or co-wrote seven of the songs on this disc. All of the songs on this CD are in English, but he also sings in Russian, Belarus and Norwegian. He has a degree in playing the violin. He won the Eurovision song competition with the title song from this disc. I am waiting for another of his CD's. It is coming from Ukraine, so it will take awhile for me to get it. I like all of the songs on this CD. I was introduced to his music through videos on You Tube. He sings very well in all of the languages I mentioned above. Some of his songs, like "Roll with the Wind," have a cheerful sound. Some, like "13 Horses," which is about horses drowning, are sad. It should not be surprising that I prefer his songs in Russian and Belarus. That does not not mean that I do not like his songs in English and Norwegian. I like those very much too. He has some fun videos too. He has a great smile. The video for "Leave Me Alone" is very entertaining. He had been stalked by a female fan, and he turned this into a great song with a funny video. I can't wait to receive the other disc in the mail.
