"Terrorist Assemblages: Homonationalism in Queer Times" by Jasbir K. Puar

Terrorist Assemblages: Homonationalism in Queer Times by Jasbir K. Puar is in an interesting book that deals with various topics. There is a chapter that deals with the tortures that took place at Abu Ghraib. The torture was mostly about humiliations. In the culture there it is seen as humiliating for a man to be nude in front of other men. Another part of this was the anti-gay views of many Muslims. It also talks about some people in the U.S.A. who see Middle Eastern men as being sexual perverts. The book also deals with Sikhs being mistaken for Muslims in the U.S.A. and the hate crimes that have taken place because of this. I do not think that hate crimes are ever justified. The books also speaks of Sikhs in the U.S.A. taking steps to show their patriotism in this country. Another topic is how Sikhs and Muslims are often marginalized in the LGBTIQ community. Within this community in the United States there are people who are not accepting of people who have different religious beliefs or  are of different ethnicities. The vocabulary of this book may be challenging for some readers, but it is worth the effort. I learned a lot from this book.

Random Thoughts (Adult Content)

I voted early today. Of course I did not vote for any Republicans. Even though I have very little faith in the electoral process in the USA I want to do what I can to make sure that the people who want to work against what is good for the country are not voted into office or remain in office. I still think that there is a need for stronger liberal parties in this country. We have a conservative party and a moderate party as the major parties here. This country is run by people, organizqations and corporations who contribute of money to the Republican and Democratic parties. Communism, Socialism and Anarchy are not bad words. They are words that are misunderstood by many people in the USA.

I have been spending time with a few friends from the homeless shelter. They are great guys who accept me as I am. I enjoy spending time with them even though they are straight. I do have some friends who may not be completely. Maybe I will be able to play around with one or two of them.

I am still staying at the homeless shelter. I am still seeing my special friend. I still love him very much. I enjoy making him feel good. He loves the blow jobs that I give him.
