I am listening to the album "Водопад" by Григорий Лепс. He is definitely one of my favorite singers. His style is truly international. I know people who would not listen to his music, because his songs are not in English. That is something I do not understand. Even if I could not understand any of his lyrics I would still love his music. I wish I spoke Russian well enough to understand everything he sings, but I can still appreciate his music. "Черный Снегопад" is a great song. Actually I have not heard him sing a song that I did not like. I would definitely love to see him perform in concert. I would have to travel abroad to do that, but I want to do that anyway. He has a great voice.

"The Best of Loka Nunda"

I am listening to "The Best of Loka Nunda." This is great music. Loka Nunda is a very talented and sexy man. I really like his recording of the Gary Numan song, "Down in the Park." He has recorded with one of my favorite singers, Nina Hagen. I really like his voice. His music videos are very hot to me. In addition to being a singer and song writer he is a performance artist. producer and songwriter.
Among my favorites among his songs are "Hot Leather Bitch," "Stomp Stomp" and "Cum Together." The latter is not on this album. Listening to his music makes me want to dance. Watching his music videos makes me want to do something else. He is a musician I would definitely like to meet in person. I would love to be one of his groupies.

Kazaky - A Great Band from Ukraine

I first I heard for the first time Kazaky, a synthpop band based in Kiev, Ukraine. The current band members are Kirill Fedorenko, Artur Gaspar and Artemy Lazarev (Кирило Федоренко, Артур Гаспар and Артемій Лазарєв). Former band members are Stas Pavlov, Francesco Borgato, Oleg Zhezhel (Стас Павлов, Франческо Боргато and Олег Жежель). I am listening to their album, "I Like It (Part Two)." Their name, Kazaky (Козаки) is the Ukrainian word for Cossacks. According to Wikipedia, the band says that their name does not refer to Cossacks but is a form of a Japanese name, Kazaki. They perform their songs in English. The members of the band are trained dancers, and they are great dancers. They mix masculine and feminine in their attire. They wear revealing clothing and spiked-heel shoes. Their music is a lot of fun. They released their first single in 2010. They first performed in the U.S.A. in 2011. They appeared in a music video by Madonna for her song "Girl Gone Wild." According to their website they had concerts in Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic and other countries in 2015. In addition to recording great dance music and being amazing dancers they are sexy. I want to hear more of their music. I am glad that I found their music.

Andrew W.K.: The Wolf

"The Wolf" was the second CD by Andrew W.K. His First CD, "I Get Wet," was a lot of fun, and this one is like that one in some ways. He is known mostly for his party anthems like "Party Hard" and "She Is Beautiful." At first listen "The Wolf" could sound like simplistic party anthems, but on closer we can hear that there is some complexity. On this CD Andrew W.K. played most of the instruments. He had studied jazz keyboards in high school. The songs on this CD are definitely fun. Andrew W.K. wrote all of the songs and produced the CD as well. He has recorded in different styles since these CD's were released. I definitely would like to find more of his music. He is also a motivational speaker, music producer radio personality. He is also a brony.

North Carolina: A State Where the People Don't Matter

North Carolina is a state where the rights of many people do not matter. Employers can fire workers for any reason. The governor just signed into a law that would not allow any city to pass any anti-discrimination laws. Transgender individuals are being forced into using public restrooms based on the gender on their birth certificates. This is something that is very difficult to change. This law shows ignorance on the part of the government. Years ago I read the autobiography of Christine Jorgensen. In it she wrote that her chromosomes at birth had been XXY instead of XX or XY. She had been born with male genitalia, but her health had not been very good until gender reassignment surgeries and hormone treatments. The male hormones had been the cause of her health problems. There have also been cases where a child is born with male and female genitalia. A decision is made as to which gender is assigned to the child. There is always the possibility that the decision made is incorrect. It is also legal in this state for businesses to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. The governor, Pat McCrory, and the legislators who passed this law need to be voted out of office.

We Need to Elect a New Congress

Too many members of Congress are more interested in making the President of the United States look bad than they are in doing what is good for the country. This is especially true of Republicans. This has become more and more obvious. Mitch McConnell refuses to have hearings for President Obama's nominee for the Supreme Court. Again and again Republicans in congress have opposed any progress that the President has wanted to make. They do this even when their lack of action has hurt the country. It is time to vote out of office those who think that making the President look bad is better than doing what they were elected to do. The politicians who put the desires of the rich, PAC's and special interest groups like the NRA ahead of their constituents need to be voted out of office. The NRA, big pharmaceutical companies, big banks, and other large corporations are who many elected officials really represent. This needs to end. The people need to take control. People think that the U.S.A. is a democracy. It never has been. It has always been an oligarchy.

Socially Responsible?

I worked as a temp in the distribution center of a well-known maker of underwear who claims to be socially responsible. The company is based in North Carolina. At one time their product was manufactured in the U.S.A. , but much of their manufacturing is now being done abroad. When the company was asked why they were having more of the manufacturing done abroad they gave two reasons: many other companies were doing it and it saved money. In the distribution center where I was working there were people who had worked as temps for five years. The temp workers had no benefits and no job security. While I was working there a new computer system was implemented. The company started using the system before it was working properly. As a result of this no product was being shipped. This caused a backlog or orders to be shipped. The company paid millions of dollars for this computer system to be installed. Workers from the software company were housed in hotels while they were installing the system. When the system started functioning it was necessary for workers in the distribution center to work seven days a week. Eventually the work schedule returned to normal. Then the company said that they had to cut expenses. All temp workers were laid off. The people who cost the company millions of dollars by implementing a computer system before it was ready to be used faced no consequences for their bad decision. It was the workers who were paid for that mistake.

I really wish I could increase my knowledge of languages and make a living with my language abilities. I am able to practice languages some online, but I wish I had people with whom I could practice speaking and comprehending other languages. I have had my language abilities belittled recently, because I cannot use it to earn money. In a way it is like part of who I am is being belittled. Some people do not understand my interest in other languages cultures. I am not going to change who I am in order to please someone else. I am going to remain open to music and movies from other countries. I am happy being who I am.

Chiar doresc să pot spori cunoștințele de limbi străine și face o viață cu abilitățile mele lingvistice. My Current Reading List

I have three books that I am currently reading. Two are books of essays, and the other is a history, so it will be easy to alternate between the three. They are Yugoslavia: Death of a Nation, What's Queer About Europe?: Productive Encounters and Re-Enchanting Paradigms and Letters from Prison and Other Essays. The book about Yugoslavia was written by Laura Silber and Allan Little. It is about what happened there after the death of Tito and the splitting of Yugoslavia into independent nations. It is interesting. What's Queer About Europe is a challenging read. I am currently reading the introduction. It is a book of essays on queer studies. Letters From Prison is a collection of essays Adam Michnik. It was published in 1985, and it deals with the political situation in Poland in the first half of the 1980s. It has an introduction by Jonathan Schell and a foreward by Czesław Miłosz. It was translated from Polish by Maya Latynski. I found this book with the books on Russian history even though it is obviously a book about Poland if one reads the book's cover. Even before reading that my first clue that it was about Poland was the name of the author of the foreword. Czesław Miłosz is obviously a Polish name. I will write more about these books as I read them.

I also recently found a slim book of photographs taken by Christopher Makos of Andy Warhol. It is entitled Andy. They are photos of Warhol wearing jeans, white button-down shirts and plaid tie with women's wigs and make up. These photos were inspired by photos that Man Ray had taken of Marcel Duchamp in drag in 1921. Duchamp became Rrose Sélavy. The photos of Warhol were called Altered Images. Duchamp was a leading figure in Dadaism, and some people say Warhol was a late Dadaist. I can definitely see Dadaist aspects in some of Warhol's art as well as others of the Pop Art movement. Warhol's appearance was definitely altered by the wigs and make up.

Donald Trump is a Fascist and Narcissist, and He Needs to Be Stopped.

It is scary to me that Donald Trump as much support as he does in this country. He is a Fascist and a narcissist. He has the support of white supremacist groups. There are many similarities between his speeches and those of Adolf Hitler. He would take this country backwards. Many people would lose their health insurance, because I am sure he would want to repeal the Affordable Care Act. He would want to take away LGBT rights that have been gained. If he were elected President it would be a disaster. That he has as many supporters as he does not speak well of the Republican Party. He must be stopped.

What Matters Most to Me

I want to go from words to action. For me the most important thing is the international fight for LGBT rights. I want to be more active in this fight. There are people in the U.S.A. who want to take away the rights that we have now, and in too many countries people are beaten and/or arrested if they are gay. There are still parts of the U.S. where people can be fired for being gay. I long for the day when sexual orientation is not an issue. I long for the day when coming out of the closet is not something one needs to do. I want to see the day when a man can talk about having a boyfriend or a woman can talk about having a girlfriend without having to explain beforehand what their sexual orientation is. We all should have the freedom to be who we are in regards to sexual orientation, religion, politics, etc.

Where Are the Liberals in the U.S.A.?

On different social media sites I see posts from organizations that claim to be proud liberals. but they are mostly politically moderate. Compared to the Republican party they are liberal. I would definitely prefer seeing these moderates in public office to seeing the Republican Party. Those on the right seem to be espousing more and more hatred. I continue to say that there is no real liberal party in this party. I am leaning more strongly to Socialist Anarchy. That is true liberalism. When it comes to human rights these "liberal" groups are liberal, but politically they are moderate. As long as they are the only alternative to the Republicans I will support them. I know nothing about organizing a political party, but I would gladly get involved in the organization of a Socialist-Anarchist Party.

Aj naďalej sa povedať, že neexistuje žiadny skutočný liberálna strana v tejto strany. Som nakláňať silnejšie socialistickej anarchii. To je pravda liberalizmus. Pokiaľ ide o ľudské práva tieto "liberálne" skupiny sú liberálne, ale politicky sú mierne. Ako dlho ako oni sú jedinou alternatívou k republikánom som ich bude podporovať. Neviem nič o organizovanie politickú stranu, ale ja by som rád zapojiť do organizácie socialistickej-anarchistické strany.

Na różnych portalach społecznościowych widzę posty z organizacji, które twierdzą, że są dumne liberałowie. ale są one przede wszystkim politycznie umiarkowane. W porównaniu do Partii Republikańskiej są liberalne. Zdecydowanie wolą widzieć tych umiarkowanych w urząd publiczny, aby zobaczyć Partii Republikańskiej. Temp Agencies

Temp agencies can benefit employers and employees, but they can be used by employers in a way that exploits workers. I have benefited from temp agencies.Several times I was able to get jobs through temp agencies when I could not find a job otherwise. Usually this had led to a full-time job. When there is the possibility of a job going from temporary to full time this can benefit the employer and the employee. In this situation it benefited me when I was able to show that I am a good worker, and I was able to see whether or not the company was one for whom I wanted to work. The company can see whether or not the potential employee is a good worker. Some companies exploit workers by using mostly temp workers. The employees do not receive benefits that they would get as full-time employees. I worked as a temp at one company where there were people who had been working as temps for five years and longer. That is something that I think should not be legal. There should be stricter guidelines as to what temp agencies can do to keep employees from being exploited. I can understand short-term assignments from temp agencies in some circumstances. The best for the worker is when there is the possibility of a temp job turning into a full-time job.

On Faith

The question of religion is not an easy one for me to answer. Having faith is not easy for me. I have a questioning nature. I do continue to pray and hope for my prayers to be answered. There are parts of the Bible that I have problems with. There are parts of the Bible that I do not think can be taken literally. If I say that I do not think that everything in the Bible is the inspired word of God many Christians get very upset. The decision as to what to include in the Bible was people. I just think they may have made some mistakes, and some things may have mistranslated or altered over the centuries. I still have some thinking to do concerning faith and the Bible.

A Good Start to the Day

I really do need to start getting up earlier on a regular basis. I feel better this morning. I slept less than I have been sleeping, and I feel better. I really have been sleeping too much. This is going to be a good day. It is the first day of spring, but it is going to be cool today. Rain is expected. I am going to see people with whom I enjoy spending time. I am starting the day listening to one of my favorite bands, Время и Стекло. Their music always helps my mood.

When I was a child one of my favorite books was Madeline. That book takes place in Paris. There was another book that I read as a child that may have influenced more than I had realized. I am not sure how old I was when I first read it, and I do not know how the book ended up in our house. My father was a Republican. Anyway it was a pro-Soviet children's book. I do not remember the title. I remember it said that in the Soviet Union girls could grow up to be whatever they wanted and in the Soviet Union they all helped each other. I wish I still had that book. These books may explain in part why I am the way I am today.

Not only is this going to be a good day, but this is going to be a good week.

"The Danish Girl" (2015 film)

I watched "The Danish Girl." a film about the first recorded male-to-female gender reassignment in 1930. It is a well-made film. Eddie Redmayne portrayed Einar Wegener/Lili Elbe. Alicia Vikander was very good as Gerda Wegener. Einar Wegener and Alicia Wegener were both artists. Alicia did paintings of Einar in female attire. Einar started to accept who she really was inside. She started using the name Lili Elbe. It was not an easy journey for either of them. The cinematography is beautiful. I also loved the music. It is a film that I would recommend.

Fascination with Celebrities: Something I Do Not Understand

I have never understood the fascination that many people have with celebrities. This is definitely not a new development. Information can just be spread more quickly today because of technology. It is also not new for many people to want to know about the private lives of artists and people in positions of power. At least once in France it was necessary for a window to be broken when the queen was giving birth. because there were so many people crowded into the bed chamber that there was not enough oxygen. If what someone in the public eye is not doing in private is not harming anyone else I do not know why it should be held up to public scrutiny. If they make their private lives public that is a different matter, but I am not interested in the private lives of celebrities. I would like to see the day when the question of anybody's sexual orientation is of no importance, celebrity or non celebrity. I can understand the private lives of people in positions of power being made public when it is a question of hypocrisy. Examples of this would be someone fighting publicly against LGBTQ rights while privately being part of that community or someone who points out a political opponent having sex with prostitutes while doing the same thing. Another thing that I do not understand is putting celebrities on pedestals. No one is better than or of more value than anyone else. We are all equal. I have enough to deal with in my own life that I do not want to waste my time or energy worrying about what celebrities do in their own private lives.

"Peter's Friends"

"Peter's Friends" is a delightful movie with an outstanding cast. It was written by Rita Rudner and Martin Bergman and directed by Kenneth Brannagh in 1992. The cast included Kenneth Brannagh, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Phyllida Law, Emma Thompson and Rita Rudner. Peter, played by Stephen Fry, invites a group of friends to celebrate the New Year at the manor that he has just inherited. There are a couple of newer additions to the group. All of them are dealing with various issues, the death of a child, rocky relationships, insecurity, etc... This is a movie that made me laugh out loud, and it also brought some tears to my eyes. It has been compared to "The Big Chill." I do not know how similar they are, because I have not seen "The Big Chill." I could empathize with the characters. It is very difficult to find this movie, and I am glad that I finally did.

More on Conformity and Maturity

We are often told that conforming is a sign of maturity. We are told that rebelling against societal norms is something that one does when one is young. We are expected by the time we reach a certain age to own a house and a car and to have a career. We are told that it is better to be part of a herd of sheep than it is to be a lone wolf. I think that staying true to one's principles in the face of opposition is a better sign of maturity than conforming to societal norms in which we do not believe. Individualism does not preclude altruism. Both of these principles are important to me. I can remain firmly who I am and help others strive to be who they are. One can contribute to the well being of others while rebelling against the norms that society wants to oppose upon us. We can start a revolution by forming communities of mutual aid instead of becoming part of the capitalist machinery that wants us to be content with scraps that fall from the table of those with power.

Sometimes I have boring dreams.

Sometimes I have boring dreams. I have dreams in different languages, and those can be fun. Other times I have dreams that are grammar lessons, and those can be rather boring. I remember once I had a dream that was about when to say "dobrý" (good) and when to say "dobre" (well)  in Slovak. Recently I had a dream about Russian grammar. I do not remember what the dream was about. Language is a very important part of my life. I do wish I could go somewhere that I could develop my language skills. Until then I will do what I can to develop them and have occasional dreams about grammar. Hopefully I will have dreams too in which I use these languages.

The most boring dream that I remember was one in which I sat and watched myself sleep. It probably wasn't long, but it seemed like it lasted a long time.

Niekedy mám nudné sny. Mám sny v rôznych jazykoch, a tie, ktoré môže byť zábava. Inokedy mám sny, ktoré sú gramatické lekcie, a tie môžu byť trochu nudné. Spomínam si, kedysi som mal sen, ktorý bol o tom, kedy hovoriť "Dobrý" a kedy povedať "dobre" v slovenčine. Nedávno som mal sen o ruskej gramatiky. Nespomínam si, čo ten sen bol asi. Jazyk je veľmi dôležitou súčasťou môjho života. Ja si prial, aby som mohol ísť niekam, kde by som mohol rozvinúť svoje jazykové zručnosti. Dovtedy budem robiť, čo budem môcť, aby im rozvíjať a mať občasné sny o gramatiky. Dúfam, že budem mať sny príliš, v ktorom som použiť tieto jazyky.

Najnudnejší sen, že si spomínam bol ten, v ktorom som sedel a pozoroval sám spať. Asi to nebolo dlho, ale zdalo sa, ako by to trvalo dlho.

Иногда у меня есть скучные сны. У меня есть мечты на разных языках, и те, может быть интересно. Иногда у меня есть мечты, которые являются грамматические уроки, и те могут быть довольно скучным. Я помню, как однажды у меня был сон, который был о том, когда сказать "Добры" и когда сказать "Добре" в словацком. Недавно у меня была мечта о русской грамматики. Я не помню, что сон был о. Dobrú noc (Lahko noč)

I have mentioned before that people say that I try to be different. These people do not know me. They do not know how much I do not reveal about myself to most of the people I know. They do not know how many tattoos I would like to have. Well, to be honest, one of the main reasons that I do not have more tattoos is that I have not been able to afford them. I would like to have a more unconventional hairstyle, but that would make finding a job more difficult. There are a few reasons that I want to be able to have a place of my own where I can live. One is that I do not want to be a burden to the church where I am currently staying. I really want to be independent. I want to have all of my belongings in one place. I want to have a space where I can be completely who I really am. I want to find the path in life that is completely right for me. I am not there yet, but I am working on getting there.

It Is Time to Get Rid of Societal Norms

One of my favorite books is Le petit prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The little prince had come from Asteroid B-612. The asteroid had been discovered by a Turkish astronomer. He was not taken seriously when he first presented his discovery, because he was wearing Turkish clothing. He was not taken seriously until he made the presentation in Western clothing. He presented the same information. The only change was in his appearance. This reflected xenophobia and racism. We often judge whether or not we take seriously what people say based on their outward appearance. Often employers do not hire people who do not conform to a certain norm. There are prejudices against people with tattoos, piercings, unconventional hairstyles or hair colors, gender benders and other alternative lifestyles. Often in jobs where workers deal with the general public it is stated in employee handbooks that having an unconventional hairstyle could be grounds for being fired. "Business Appropriate Attire" is very narrowly defined. It is time to get rid of these norms. Nobody should be forced to the fringes of society because of their appearance or for living an "alternative" lifestyle that does not cause harm to anyone else.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that I do not need the permission of anyone else to feel good about myself. I have made some bad mistakes that have led me to where I am now, but that does not make me a bad or unlovable person. I do not want to stay where I am. I am doing everything that I can to make my situation better. I have had people say that I am trying to be different. I am not going to change who I am based on whether or not I fit into mainstream society. That would take too much energy. I am happy with who I am. I would like to be around people who accept me as I am, as I accept other people as they are. That does not mean that I want to be around intolerant people. I am not going to change who I am in order to please or piss off anybody else. If I accept myself I am happy. Anybody who does not like that can go fuck themselves.

Иногда мне приходится напоминать себе, что мне не нужно разрешение кому-либо еще, чтобы чувствовать себя хорошо о себе. Я сделал несколько грубых ошибок, которые привели меня туда, где я сейчас, но это не делает меня плохим или непривлекательным человеком. Я не хочу оставаться там, где я. Manchmal muss ich mich daran erinnern, dass ich nicht brauchen die Erlaubnis von jemand anderes über mich selbst gut zu fühlen. Ich habe einige schlimme Fehler gemacht, die mich dazu gebracht haben, wo ich jetzt bin, aber das macht mich nicht schlecht oder nicht liebenswert Person zu machen. Ich will nicht zu bleiben, wo ich bin. Ich tue alles, was ich kann meine Situation besser zu machen. Ich habe Leute sagen, dass ich versuche, anders zu sein. Ich werde mich nicht ändern, wer ich bin basierend auf, ob ich in die Gesellschaft passen. Das würde zu viel Energie nehmen. Ich bin glücklich mit, wer ich bin. Ich möchte um Leute zu sein, die mich akzeptieren, wie ich bin, wie ich andere Menschen akzeptieren, wie sie sind. Das bedeutet nicht, dass ich um intolerante Menschen sein wollen. Ich werde mich nicht ändern, wer ich bin, um zu gefallen oder sonst jemand verpissen. Wenn ich mich selbst akzeptieren ich bin glücklich. Wer das nicht mag kann sich gehen ficken.

Post-Scriptum: Cristina Branco

I first read about Cristina Branco and fados in a small magazine article in 2000 or 2001. According to this article fados had their origin in Portugal, but they became popular in Brazil before being reintroduced in Portugal. The article was a review of this CD, "Post Scriptum." What I read in that article made me want to hear the CD, but I did not think that I would be able to find it. It was released on a French label. Not long after that I was surprised to find it in a music store. I bought it immediately. Cristina Branco has a beautiful voice, and she sang these fados wonderfully. Fados have a melancholy, but they also have a lightness. I love the sound of the Portuguese guitar played on some of these songs. The arrangements of these songs are simple and beautiful.

One of my stations on Pandora radio is one dedicated to fados.

I Support Bernie Sanders

I support Bernie Sanders in his presidential bid. I will not be able to vote in the North Carolina primaries, because I do not have a North Carolina ID. I do not have a fixed address yet. I know people who say that they agree with his views but plan on voting for Hillary Clinton, because she would be more likely to win the election. I agree more with his views on campaign finance reform, taxation, healthcare, LGBT rights, etc. One thing that I really like him is that he campaign has been largely supported by grassroot efforts. He is not financed by Super PAC's. I  would love to see him run with Elizabeth Warren as his running mate. I would like to see a stronger Socialist-Anarchist party, but until we have I will support Democratic Party. I will not join the Democratic Party though.

Trump and His Supporters Need to be Stopped

We need to stop Donald Trump. We also need to make sure that any other politicians pay the price for publicly supporting him. This price is to be voted out of office. Trump and these supporters do not have the best interest of this country in mind. They only care about their own power and benefiting the 1% and corporations who own the Republican Party. We, the people of this country, need to take back the power that is really ours. This country is an oligarchy. It is time for this oligarchy to end.

"He Never Died:" A Film with Henry Rollins

Henry Rollins is a multi-talented man. I just finished watching his movie, "He Never Died." He played an immortal cannibal who has tried to refrain from eating human flesh. Questions of good and evil do not really seem to concern him. There are gangsters who would like to kill him, but they realize that he cannot be killed. They kidnap his daughter, and they plan on killing her. They think that this would be the only way to hurt him. Jack, the character played by Henry Rollins, is definitely not someone you would not want to piss off. This film has plenty of violence, gore and humor. I will definitely watch it again.

Henry Rollins has written poetry, an autobiography and various other articles and books. I want to read some of his writings eventually. He has hosted radio shows and recorded spoken word CD's. He has spoken out for human rights, especially for LGBT rights. He was in the band Black Flag, but I am more familiar with the Rollins Band. I guess you could say that I am a Henry Rollins fan.

"Georgian Voices: The Rustavi Choir"

"Georgian Voices: The Rustavi Choir" is a compilation of recordings made by the Rustavi Choir from 1981 to 1988. Mostly the pieces are a capella. Occasionally string instruments are heard. There are various genres of choral music, sacred, riding songs, historical songs, plowing songs, marches, work songs, table songs, laments, healing songs, wedding songs, etc. This is a collection of beautiful music. There are wonderful harmonies and polyphonies. I do not understand what is being sung, but I find this music to be incredibly moving. I would love to hear more music from this country and to learn more of the culture of Georgia. I am excited to start learning about a culture about which I had previously been ignorant.

Kalinka: Red Star Red Army Chorus

This is a collection of Russian, Ukrainian, and Albanian folk songs along with music by Russian and Georgian composers. The CD was released in 1992. There is an old Soldier's song and an old gypsy romance. There are compositions by Lev Knipper, Mikhail Glinka, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Vano Muradelli and others. "Kalinka" is one of my favorites. "The Regimental Polka" gives the disc a very upbeat opening. "The Pine Trees Are Rustling" is called a Russian folk song, but its composer was Georgian. "Flight of the Bumblebee" by Rimsky-Korsakov, the shortest piece, is the only instrumental track. "Volga Boat Song is one that I have heard for years. "The Pine Trees Are Rustling" was composed in the 1950's. "Kamarinskaya, was composed in 1848. I think I will be be listening to this CD many times. I love the sound of Russian male choruses.

A Brief Post Before Bed

This is my space for for expressing my thoughts and feelings without censorship. If I write about going through hard times I am not trying to get sympathy. I am simply telling what is going on in my life. I find it easier to deal with issues if I write or talk about them. The hardest thing for me to do is to ask for help, but sometimes I have to do that. I am getting in touch with the people who are going to help me. I will not simply survive. I will thrive.

On "Sulla tua bocca lo diro" Mina sings compositions by Giacomo Puccini, Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin and other composers. The selections by Bernstein are from "West Side Story" with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Those by Gershwin are from "Porgy and Bess with lyrics by Ira Gershwin. There are selections from several of Puccini's operas. On this disc Mina sang in Italian, English and Spanish. The CD was released in 2009. Her voice is not the type of voice that one usually associates with the songs that she recorded on this CD, but it is an interesting combination. I am glad that she is continuing to record music. Some day I will buy her latest Cd, but that can wait. I definitely will not get all of her music.  She has released 79 albums.

Getting Better

This evening I got some information that I need to get help in finding a job and a place to live. It is very hard for me to ask for help. I know that once I get on my feet I will start making progress. We all need help of some kind. I want to be able to give and receive help. I need to stop focusing on the mistakes that I have made. I can learn from my mistakes, but I need to stop beating myself up because of these mistakes. I will talk to some people from Vocational Rehabilitation this Friday. I will also go to public health. I will not be where I need to be, but I will be on my way.

My Continuing Radicalization

I do not need to have the approval of other people to be happy with who I am, but it does help to meet people with whom I can share my views on religion, politics, sex and other things. I do not want to pretend to be somebody I am not. I do have questions about things that are in the Christian Bible, and I want to find someone whom I can ask these questions. I do not know why some people get offended if you question their beliefs. I may be able to answer these questions myself. I do not want to give up completely on my faith. I do not want to offend the people close to me who have strong faith. I am becoming more certain that I am becoming more radical when it concerns religion, politics and sexuality. The more I accept that the happier I become.

I might not make a lot of difference in the outcome of the elections, but if I do not try I will not make any difference. I think that it is important to spread information about how scary the idea of having Donald Trump as president really is. People need to be informed about how much he resembles Adolf Hitler. Many people did not want to take Hitler seriously, and in similar way there are people who do not want to take Trump seriously. This would be a grave mistake. If we all work together we can fix the broken political system in this country. I know that people can learn as a result of things that are posted online. The important thing is to be careful what you believe. I have long been interested in Anarchy, and now I have learned a lot about Anarchy that I did not know before. If we all work together we can bring about change.

I've Been Naughty

I ordered some CD's that reflect my eclectic taste. I have wanted to hear some music from choral music from Georgia. I do not know very much about that country yet. I know that I would have difficulty with the alphabet. I also ordered a CD by the Red Star Army Chorus. Years ago I had an album of Soviet choral music on vinyl. I have wanted to get a replacement. I am looking forward to receiving both of those. I find Russian choral music to be very rousing. I also ordered a CD by Mina, "Sulla tua bocca lo diro." I am very fond of her voice. The other CD I ordered is "Post-Scriptum" by Cristina Branco. I had a copy of this CD. I do not know what happened. I find fados to be very moving. I will write more about each CD as it arrives. I also ordered a Ukrainian and a Soviet lapel pin. I look forward to wearing those. I need to stay away from Amazon.com for awhile. I am looking forward to when these items arrive. I especially look forward to hearing the choral CD's.

A Brief Post Before Church

Sometimes it is not easy to keep going, but I am not going to give up. I know that I have something to contribute to society. I will continue looking for a job. I will continue to express myself here. I will also continue to reach out to my friends. I will find a way to use my language abilities for self growth and self expression. If a tyrant is willing to cooperate with the U.S. government then that leader is not considered a tyrant. Governments claim to care about the people, but there are few politicians who really want liberty for all people. The healthcare system in the U.S.A. benefits big pharmaceutical companies more than it does the average citizen. Many medications cost more than they should. Big pharmaceutical companies have too much influence over politicians and physicians. The Republican Party wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and that will make it harder on  most of the citizens of this country. Even with this act the healthcare system here is in need of a lot of reform. Without the A.C.A. I would not be able to get insurance when I get a job. This is true because of a pre-existing condition. I am not able to afford some needed medical treatment, because some procedures and tests here cost more than they should. Healthcare here focuses more on profits than on the well being of many people. Things are far from perfect now, but if the Republican party is able to repeal the A.C.A and make changes they want to make concerning women's healthcare things will get worse. Healthcare needs to start focusing more on keeping people healthy than it does on making money for pharmaceutical companies. Lives are potentially in danger.

Das Gesundheitssystem in den USA profitiert großen Pharmaunternehmen mehr als der durchschnittliche Bürger tut. Viele Medikamente kosten mehr als sie sollten. Big Pharma-Unternehmen haben zu viel Einfluss auf Politiker und Ärzte. Die Republikanische Partei will die Affordable Care Act aufzuheben, und das wird es schwieriger auf die meisten Bürger dieses Landes. Auch bei dieser Tat ist das Gesundheitssystem hier in der Notwendigkeit einer viel Reform. Ohne die A.C.A. Ich wäre nicht in der Lage Versicherung bekommen, wenn ich einen Job zu bekommen. Oysters

One day I overheard some guys talking at work. One of them said that he had proof that oysters were an aphrodisiac. He said that when he was in jail he ate some oysters, and then he was getting sexually aroused by his fellow inmates. He said that he had not been attracted to men before this. He said that he did not eat oysters again while in jail. He did not say if he acted on this attraction. I think his arousal came more from a buried attraction that was already there. Perhaps the idea of oysters as an aphrodisiac combined with a lack of sex and an unadmitted attraction to men led to this attraction. I know that oysters have not had this effect on me. I have not had any change in my libido after eating oysters. Even the combination of oysters and alcohol has not caused me to be attracted to someone I would not be attracted to under other circumstances. My inhibitions have not been affected by the consumption of oysters. I ate oysters and drank beer with a friend several times. He is someone to whom I would not say no if he asked me to suck and rim him, but I would not make a move on him. Even the combination of of those things did not overpower my self control. He knew I would not say no to him, but we both value our friendship. That does not stop me from flirting with him, but there are limits.

Continuing to Look for Work

I am continuing to fill out job applications online. I have better luck with temp agencies. Employers see that I am a good worker, and that leads to a full-time position. I would still like to be able to work at a non-traditional job where I can use my language abilities and my unique point of view. I am open to different points of view. I would like to find a job where I am able to use different kinds of computer programs. It would also be nice to have a job that involves travel and interacting with people from all around the world. Ideally I would work with people who are open minded and with whom I can openly express my thoughts and feelings. I work best at jobs where I have minimum supervision. I need to know all of the pertinent information to do the best job that I can. I would hope that I would get feedback about my work quality, but I do not like to have someone watching constantly. I like to have set tasks to do, and I like working for a boss who has confidence in my abilities. I am going to keep looking until I can find a job. I am not giving up.

Ich bin weiterhin der Online-Bewerbung ausfüllen. Ich habe mehr Glück mit Zeitarbeitsfirmen. Die Arbeitgeber sehen, dass ich ein guter Arbeiter bin, und das führt zu einer Vollzeitstelle. Přesto bych být schopen pracovat na netradiční zaměstnání, kde mohu využít své jazykové schopnosti a svůj jedinečný pohled na věc. Jsem otevřený různých úhlů pohledu. Chtěl bych najít práci, kde jsem schopen používat různé druhy počítačových programů. Rovněž by bylo hezké mít práci, která zahrnuje cestování a interakci s lidmi z celého světa. V ideálním případě bych pracovat s lidmi, kteří jsou open minded as kým mohu otevřeně vyjádřit své myšlenky a pocity. I pracují nejlépe v zaměstnání, kde mám minimální dohled. The Broken Electoral Process

The process by which the President of the U.S.A. is elected is broken. It is time for the Electoral College to be eliminated and for the people to elect the president directly. As it is not everybody's vote has the same weight. The way in which the primaries are carried out needs to be changed too. All primaries should be done on the same day. The nominees of both major parties are known before all primaries take place.  It should be made easier for citizens to vote. All citizens, including those from U.S. territories, should be eligible to vote. Many people feel that their votes do not count. It should be insured that the votes of all citizens carry the same weight. Voting regulations should be the same for all fifty states and the territories. Voting districts need to be fairly drawn too. Education of the voters is essential too. When we elect the President of the U.S.A. we are not electing the leader of the free world. We are electing the leader of the country with the largest prison population. The U.S.A. is an oligarchy with a corrupt political system. This has never been a democratic party. We need a strong liberal party. As it is we have a conservative party and a moderate party. I will keep crying out for revolution until it takes place.
