Books I Recently Read

Why Are Faggots so Afraid of Faggots: Flaming Challenges to Masculinity, Objectification, and the Desire to Conform is a collection of essays edited by Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore. I can relate to the theme of most of the essays. Among other things they deal with those of us who do are outsiders in the mainstream gay community and transgender issues. I was reminded of not fitting in with the other gay male students when I was attending university. Disco music was popular with most of the gay community, and I was more interested in contemporary composers and punk music. I could not find other gay men who were punks like me. I have never felt the need to conform to norms in the straight or straight communities. I was lonely at times, but true happiness came from accepting myself. (Well, I am still working on that.) We in the LGBTIQ communities need to be more accepting of others in our community who march to the beats of different drummers. I highly recommend this book.

Make Something Up: Stories You Can't Unread is a collections of  stories and a novella by Chuck Palahniuk. I was disappointed with this book. It lacked something that Fight Club and Diary had. It seemed like a book that would be popular with teachers of literature. It lacked their punch. It did have some entertaining passages, but it is not his best writing.

The Hidden Reality: Parallel Universes and the Deep Laws of the Cosmos is the latest book by Brian Greene. It is an entertaining, educational book. It is more obvious in this book than it was in The Elegant Universe that the author wants to write popular books. There are more references to popular cultures. To me these references are distracting. One reason that this is true is I am not familiar to most of the things to which he referred. An example is the TV programme "South Park," I have only seen one episode. It is an interesting book, but the author lets some of his preconceived ideas get in the way. He has a very view of conditions in which life can exist. Since this book was published it has been discovered that life exists under conditions in which it was not thought that life could exist on this planet. I would still recommend this book to those who want to learn more about physics and the possibility that we are living in a multiverse.

The book I finished reading most recently is Side Trips from Cowboy: Addiction, Recovery and the Western American Myth by Sandy Compton. Its author wrote about his addiction with gambling and his travels through lands that had belonged to the Nez Perce tribe. He also wrote about twelve-step programs. He seems to have a slight understanding of the spirituality of Native Americans, but his knowledge seems very superficial. His views on addiction seem questionable. He says that addicts are addicted to pain. I think that addicts try more to avoid pain. I do agree with him that addiction has a spiritual source, but true addiction also has a physical aspect. I did enjoy this book somewhat, but U was left unsatisfied.

I Need to Be a Better Professional Asshole

Often I tell tell other people to accept themselves as they are and that I accept them as they are, but I have a tendency to really accept myself as I am. I am happy with myself, but I forget that I am worthy of love and acceptance. I have a tendency to want to take care of everybody else while I forget to take good care of myself. I am working on changing that. I do enjoy pleasing men and I do enjoy doing things for my friends, but I am worthy of love without doing these things. Being altruistic is part of who I am, but I have to take care of myself first. That does not mean that I do not want to suck cock as often as I can, but I have to do it for myself too. I need to do a better job of being a Professional Asshole. Practice makes perfect.

More Kinky Stuff

I will be happy when I can spend more time with my Master. It makes me feel to know that I can make him feel good using my oral talents. I think that pleasing him makes me feel as good as it makes him feel. When we are together his pleasure is more important than my own. I enjoy being obedient. I did not know before I met him that not cumming can be as satisfying as cumming when I am being obedient to him. His cum and pee taste great! I still enjoy pleasing a young friend, but I rarely get to do that. I hope that I am able to please both of them tomorrow. I have not tasted the young guy's cum, but I have had his tasty pee. He is a great kisser. It would be fun if I could please them together. They could both have me on my knees anytime and any place.

Kinky Adult Content

I have been thinking about some hot fun I had with a young friend. We were sitting in a secluded section of a park, and he decided that he wanted to suck his cock. He unzipped his pants, and I took it in my mouth. Unfortunately he was too nervous to cum. I told him that I wanted to drink his pee. Later the same day we were walking down a street. We stopped next to a fence. He put his cock into my mouth and pissed. I was not able to swallow all of it, and some got on my face. I liked that though. He had never done that before, and he enjoyed it. I would like to do both of those things with him again some day. He knows that he owes me kisses, cum and pee.

I still dream of emigrating  to or travelling in Central Europe or Eastern Europe. This is because of the results of the presidential election. I want to be in a place where English is not the primary language spoken. I know that it will be a challenge to learn to speak Russian, Czech, Polish, Slovak, Ukrainian, and other languages, but I want to make an effort to do this. I would also suck the cocks of men throughout this part of the world. I can use my tongue to speak languages and to please a man.

I am proud of my talent for sucking cock. Not all men like to be sucked in the same way. In order to please a man it is necessary to learn how he like to have his sucked. I am good at remembering what a man likes. I have been getting better at pleasing my Master, and I am happy to be his sexual slave. I also have a young friend whose cock I sucked, and I would like to suck it again.

I will have a home soon, and I am excited about that.

Jestem dumny z mojego talentu wysysających kurek. Mam też młodego przyjaciela, którego kogut ssać i chciałbym ssać go ponownie.

Napriek tomu sníva o emigráciu alebo cestovať v strednej Európe alebo východnej Európy. Dôvodom je, že výsledky prezidentských volieb. Mám tiež mladého priateľa, ktorého penis som cucal, a rád by som to znova sať.

Budem mať čoskoro domov, a som nadšený, že.

Three Men in My Life (Adult Content)

Is it possible for me to love three men at the same time? I love all three of them in different ways. I have been spending time with all three of them. I will be spending more time with one of them. I know how to make him feel good, and I feel very good when I make him feel good. I mostly use my oral skills to make him feel good. He keeps saying that he is afraid that I will get tired of doing this, and I keep trying to reassure him that this will not happen. No one has ever made me feel as good as he does. I could spend hours sucking his cock. He also stimulates my imagination and intellect. I love his taste in clothing and other things. I feel comfortable and safe when I am with him. There are another two friends with whom I spend time when I am not at work, with the guy mentioned above or at the shelter. I enjoy being with both of them even though I think that one of them may only interested in being with me because he wants me to give him money. One of these guys says that he is straight, and I am not sure about the other one. I have told both of them that I love them, and they say the same thing. One of them has mentioned wanting us to get matching bracelets or matching tattoos. I played around with one of them. We sucked each other some. I want to be with the one about whom I wrote first, but I do not want to lose contact with the other two. I need to remember that I need to take care of myself first. I cannot afford to give away all of my money and not have enough for my own needs. When I move into the new place top priority will be to pay my rent. I know that I will be happy living where I am going to live. At the same time I will be a sex slave, and that will make me very happy. I wish there was a way that I could please all three of these men in the ways that they want to be pleased.

Some Books I Read Recently

I have not been online for a few weeks. I have been hanging out with friends, working and sucking dick. No, I did not do all of those things at the same time. I will have a home before the end of the month.

I read a couple of books by Clive Barker, Mister B. Gone and The Scarlet Gospel. He is one of my favorite writers. I also enjoy his films, photography and art. Mister B. Gone is told from the point of Jakabok, a demon, who ends up going from hell to the surface of the earth. In places he begs the reader to burn the book that is being read. It becomes clear why he is making this plea. In this book the line between good and evil is not always clear. This is a book that I did not want to stop reading, but I did not want it to end. The Scarlet Gospels features the detective Harry D'Amour and Pinhead. It contains rich imagery and plenty of erect penises. A couple of the lead male characters are gay men. This is another one that I did not want to end. The plots of both of these books contain twists and are completely entertaining. I need to read and/or reread the rest of his books.

Obsession: An Erotic Tale is a slim novel by Gloria Vanderbilt. I first got interested in her writing when I read the first two books of her autobiographical writings. She is a wonderful writer. In this book Talbot Bingham, a controversial, successful architect has died. His widow, Priscilla, discovers some intimate letters to him. The story is told from Priscilla's point of view, from the point of view of the letters and occasionally from the point of view of a third-person narrator. I had forgotten about her books until recently. I was delighted to find this book soon after I started looking. Now I want to find the others.

The Holographic Universe is a fascinating book by Michael Talbot. The main premise of the book is that the universe has no more substance than a hologram. It deals with mystical, spiritual and psychic experiences. Among other topics it deals with the ideas of reincarnation, miracles, out-of body experiences, near-death experiences, etc. I will try to remember to write more about my thoughts on this book at a later date.

"Terrorist Assemblages: Homonationalism in Queer Times" by Jasbir K. Puar

Terrorist Assemblages: Homonationalism in Queer Times by Jasbir K. Puar is in an interesting book that deals with various topics. There is a chapter that deals with the tortures that took place at Abu Ghraib. The torture was mostly about humiliations. In the culture there it is seen as humiliating for a man to be nude in front of other men. Another part of this was the anti-gay views of many Muslims. It also talks about some people in the U.S.A. who see Middle Eastern men as being sexual perverts. The book also deals with Sikhs being mistaken for Muslims in the U.S.A. and the hate crimes that have taken place because of this. I do not think that hate crimes are ever justified. The books also speaks of Sikhs in the U.S.A. taking steps to show their patriotism in this country. Another topic is how Sikhs and Muslims are often marginalized in the LGBTIQ community. Within this community in the United States there are people who are not accepting of people who have different religious beliefs or  are of different ethnicities. The vocabulary of this book may be challenging for some readers, but it is worth the effort. I learned a lot from this book.

Random Thoughts (Adult Content)

I voted early today. Of course I did not vote for any Republicans. Even though I have very little faith in the electoral process in the USA I want to do what I can to make sure that the people who want to work against what is good for the country are not voted into office or remain in office. I still think that there is a need for stronger liberal parties in this country. We have a conservative party and a moderate party as the major parties here. This country is run by people, organizqations and corporations who contribute of money to the Republican and Democratic parties. Communism, Socialism and Anarchy are not bad words. They are words that are misunderstood by many people in the USA.

I have been spending time with a few friends from the homeless shelter. They are great guys who accept me as I am. I enjoy spending time with them even though they are straight. I do have some friends who may not be completely. Maybe I will be able to play around with one or two of them.

I am still staying at the homeless shelter. I am still seeing my special friend. I still love him very much. I enjoy making him feel good. He loves the blow jobs that I give him.

"The Man Without a Face:The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin" by Masha Gessen

The Man Without a Face: The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin is an interesting about Владимир Путин and how he went from being a bully when growing up to being the President of the Russian Federation. It also deals with the end of the Soviet Union and the beginning of the Russian Federation. The intention of this book is not to paint a positive portrait of Путин, but I believe it to be an accurate portrait because of what I have read from other sources. From the beginning of the book I noticed strong similarities between Владимир Путин and Donald Trump. Neither of them want to be criticized, and both are known for their use of vulgar humor at inappropriate times. Trump would probably want to do in the U.S.A. what Путин has done in Russia. The only problems that I had with the book were minor editorial issues. There are notes for each chapter at the end of the books, but it would be easier to use these notes if there were numbers to indicate where these references are used in the text of the book. In the notes there are quotations in Russia, but these quotations are written in the Latin alphabet. This is also true of all of the Russian names in the book. I can understand why the named are written in the Latin Alphabet, but I would find it easier to know how the names are pronounced if they were also included in the Cyrillic alphabet. It would also make more sense to me for the quotations in Russian to be in the Cyrillic alphabet. Overall I think this is a good introduction to the man Владимир Путин and to the current situation in Russia.

I hope that Trump does not try to use some of Putin's tactics before the Presidential election in November.

"Society's Child: My Autobiography" by Janis Ian

Janis Ian has been one of my favorite singers since I was a teenager. I first became aware of her when she released "At Seventeen." Later I heard about her song, "Society's Child,"but I did not hear that song until years later. I can relate to her song lyrics. Listening to her songs has helped me through times when I was depressed. Society's Child: My Autobiography is a very moving book. I had heard about some of things about which she wrote, but that is not the same thing as reading about them from her point of view. She has had a lot of hard times in her life, but she writes about these times without displaying self pity. "Society's Child" was a song about interracial dating. She wrote that song when she was fourteen years old. It was released in 1965. I find it hard to fathom how adults could treat her the way they did in response to that song. There were people who spat at her face and in her food. She received death threats. A radio station in Atlanta that played the song was set on fire. "Some People's Lives" is another very moving song. It is about people who need someone to love them. This is a book that I highly recommend reading. I can relate to many things about she wrote.

A Post With Brief Adult Content

I hope that I will be able to get a job at the place where I am working as a temporary worker. It is not the most exciting job, but I like the atmosphere. The brewery makes very good beers. I also want to have a steady job so that I can afford a place of my own where I can live. I also want to be able to get online more often in order to post more frequently on my blog and to answer my emails more often. I wish I could find a job where I could use my skills in writing, speaking languages and sucking cocks.

More About "The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene

I finished reading The Elegant Universe yesterday evening. I learned a lot from this book. Now I want to read The Fabric of the Cosmos, another book by Brian Greene. I also want to find other books on string theory and related subjects, preferably written after the Large Hadron Collider came online. I must admit that I have difficulty with the concept of dimensions being curved. Maybe I need to be more flexible in my thinking. I have always thought of dimensions as being flat. It would be interesting if somehow equipment could someday be built that could examine particles smaller than those that can be examined today. I find it amazing that at the time that this book was written there was equipment that could detect particles that are a billionth of a billionth of a meter in size. The range of size of things that make up our universe from quarks (and possibly smaller would be the strings of string theory) to the largest stars in the universe is mind blowing. The author wrote about a hypothetical situation where two people move past each other in space where they see nothing else. He says that they would both think of the other one as moving and themselves as being stationary. He wrote that if one of the people was wearing a jetpack he/she whould of himself/herself as moving. That is possible, but it seems as plausible that that person might think that the jetpack was keeping him/her in place.  I enjoy that this book made me think about things that I had not often considered.

In this book it is stated that it is not known what happens to matter when it goes into a black hole, and it is not known where matter came from. It is thought that matter may have been condensed to one Planck  length in size. Maybe matter going into a black hole becomes condensed to that size, and when the mass reaches a certain mass it starts expanding in another dimension as our universe was formed, and this could be the start of a new universe in another dimension.

"The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene

I am reading The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene. It is a fascinating book about string theory and other topics in physics. I find it incredible that it is possible to detect things that are a billionth of a billionth of a meter in size. I find myself considering the ideas I have read about in this book. I think about these things while I am working and when I am walking around. (I can focus on my job and contemplate these things at the same time.) I am always excited to learn, and this book has given me a hunger for more knowledge about physics and m. I enjoyed math until I took a semester of calculus. I was frustrated, because I thought that it did not need to be as complicated as what we were being taught. I enjoy some things that are complicated, but I don't like for things to be more complicated than necessary. I was scared away from sciences by a high-school chemistry teacher. He should not have been teaching that subject.Either he did not know the subject well enough or he did not know how to communicate it. Any, I have more recently become interested in physics, and I have missed playing around with mathematics. Words and hard cocks are not the only things with which I enjoy playing.

I will will write more about this book as I read more. Reading this book is almost as giving a blow job to the man whom I love.

A Brief Post About a Dream

I had a funny dream the other night. I was approached by a local newscaster who wanted to photograph me to show my photo before the weather forecast. There was going to be a caption that read "The Legendary Bruce Leafe." I tried to tell the newscaster that I had changed my name to Vlk. She ignored what I said. I thought that nobody would believe it unless it said in parentheses "A Legend in His Own Mind." It was a very realistic dream. In the dream I was amused by the situation.

Update for 26/9/2016

Having an income recently has been helpful. This is not just a question of finance, but it helps me in other ways. I like to be able to buy things that I need. I also like to be able to buy a meal or a beer. I also like to be able to do things for other people. I am also trying to save money to get a home.

I have been learning because of the things with which I have been dealing. I have also met friends whom I would not have met otherwise. Other people have touched my life, and I have touched the lives of other. Asking other people has often been a difficult thing for me to do, and I have learned that sometimes I have to do that. I have long known that things that we need to do in order to grow are not always easy.

I was able to give pleasure yesterday to the special man in my life. I hope that I was able to make him feel as good as he makes me feel.

I am keeping my head up. I may not be perfect, but there are things that I can contribute to society.

Ya-Ya Novels by Rebecca Wells

I recently read Little Altars Everywhere and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells. My reaction to these novels is mixed. I found parts of these books to be moving. There were parts that I found humorous. There were parts of these books that I did not like at all. I did enjoy the strong individuality of the female characters. I could not identify with the desire of some of the characters to be popular at times. I was moved by the effect of abuse in different forms oin some of the characters. These books have been described as being funny. They are funny in parts, but mostly for me they were sad. Parts of these books were hard for me to read. This in part be because I was never popular when I was growing up, but I never tried to be popular. I have never tried to fit in if it meant compromising who I am. I will not condemn these books completely, but I cannot recommend them fully.

I recently started reading The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene. This is an excellent read. I will write more about it when I have finished reading it.

Chcę ssać kogut (Adult content)

Nobody had the good luck to have his cock sucked by me this weekend. Really there is one man whose cock I really missed sucking. It is not for purely sexual reasons that I enjoy doing that for him. I love making him feel good in as many ways as I can. I enjoy showing him love in many ways too. He stimulates my imagination and my intellect as well as my libido. I feel safe when I am with him. Hopefully soon I will be able to spend time with him again.

It Is Time for Change in the USA

The President of the U.S.A. should be elected directly by the people. We need to eliminate delegates in the primaries and the Electoral College. Each person should be able to cast one vote for the candidates in the primaries. As I have said before we need to have more than two major parties. After the primaries there should be an election to choose two candidates from all of the parties. Then there woiuld be a run-off election between these two candidates. Yes, this country has long had a "two-paty-system," but that does not mean that this cannot be changed. The territories should also be allowed to vote in federal elections. The electoral system is broken in the USA, and it needs to be fixed.

The President of the USA is not the leader of the free world, and this is not the most powerful person in the world. The President of the USA is only the leader of the USA.

Many people in this country treat its constitution as sacred writing. It is not sacred, and, as has been shown previously, it can be changed. It does not matter what the intentions of the founders of this country intended when the constitution was written. Things have changed in this country and in the world. It is time for major changes in how this country is run.

We need to make sure to elect people who will work for the good of all people in this country instead of working for the rich and for corporations.

Predseda U.S.A. by mal byť volený priamo ľuďmi. Musíme eliminovať delegátov v primárkach a na volebné vysokej škole. Každý človek by mal byť schopný odovzdať jeden hlas pre kandidátov v promaties. Ako som už povedal skôr musíme mať viac ako dve hlavné strany. Po primárkach by mal byť volebný zvoliť dvoch kandidátov zo všetkých strán. Potom tam woiuld byť run-off voľby medzi týmito dvoma kandidátmi. Áno, táto krajina už dlho mali "dva-Paty-System," ale to neznamená, že to nemôže byť zmenený. Územie by malo byť tiež umožnené voliť vo federálnych voľbách.

Претседателот на U.S.A.

Председатель U.S.A.

Голова U.S.A.

"I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelou

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings was the first book by Maya Angelou that was published. It is a very moving autobiography. I had read it quite a few years ago. She wrote about being shuttled between her grandmother, her mother and her father. She wrote about being raped by her mother's boyfriend. She wrote about her sexual and intellectual development. She also wrote about dealing with racism. This is one of the most self-revealing autobiographies that I have read. I would recommend reading this book, because my words fail to convey the power of this book. I want to read the other volumes of her autobiography.

A Great Weekend (Adult Content)

I had a great weekend. I was able to spend time with someone very special. I was able to use my mouth to make him feel good. When he ejaculates in my mouth I cum immediately. I love to make him feel good in many ways. It makes me happy to know that I am able to please him. It was fun to lie naked in bed with him. He stimulates my intellect. I really would like to be able to spend more time with him. Maybe some day that will happen.

"Celebrations: Rituals of Peace and Prayer" by Maya Angelou

Celebrations:Rituals of Peace and Prayer is a collection of poems by Maya Angelou that was published after the collection of her complete poems. I did not mean to denigrate her poetry in my previous past about her writings. She wrote some very powerful poetry. This collection contains some of her most powerful poems. She wrote on themes such as racism, child abuse, sexism, homophobia, etc. She refused to bow her head in shame. Some people saw this as haughtiness. She was just showing that she was worthy of respect and had dignity. She taught us that this is true of all of us. I am currently reading I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. I will write about that later.

"Backsass" by Fred Chappell

Backsass is a collection of poetry of humorous poems by Fred Chappell. According to the dust jacket of the book is a "southern term meaning 'irreverent retort,' 'ironic retort,' or scoffing observation.'" "I Suppose War Is Okay" is a very good satire on war. There are some other humorous poems. He seems to whine too much about other poets who have been more successful than he. He writes with a large academic vocabulary, but I find most of these poems to be lacking something. I read one of his novels. I cannot remember which one it was. I just remember that it was not satisfying. He taught classes in creative writing at UNC-G for forty years. This is a subject that I am sure can really be learned in a class.

Tupac: Resurrection 1971-1996

Tupac: Resurrection 1971-1976 is a collection of writings by Tupac Shakur. It contains poetry, selections from screenplays that he had written and autobiographical writings. There are many assumptions made about him. Many people do not know that he was a talented poet and a very intelligent man. He wrote of falling in love with the writings of William Shakespeare and other writers when he was in school. He wrote very sensitive, beautiful poetry. He had a difficult upbringing, and I think that he was trying to overcome the consequences of some decisions that he had made. It is sad that he was killed before he could live up to his full potential. It is fortunate that we have the writings and the music that this talented young man produced.

The Complete Collected Poems of Maya Angelou

I read The Complete Collected Poems of Maya Angelou last week. One time I was walking across the Wake Forest University campus when I say Maya Angelou sitting and talking with a group of students. She looked up and said, "Hi." I said "Hi" to her. Since she was talking to students I did not interrupt, but I continued on my way. There are some of her poems that I like very much, "Phenomenal Woman," "Still I Rise" and "They Went Home" for example. I enjoy the sassiness, to borrow from her vocabulary, of some of her poems. In common with Nikki Giovanni, she dealt with racial themes. Maya Angelou was a woman of many talents, poet, writer of prose, screenplays and plays, director, composer, etc. I do like her poetry very much, but I am not touched as much by her poetry as I am by the poetry of Nikki Giovanni. I am not saying anything against her poetry. I would still recommend her writings as I do those of Nikki Giovanni. Both of these writers deserve the acclaim that they have received. It is time for me to reread I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings."

Nikki Giovanni, Tupac Shakur and Working Monday

I finished reading three more collections by Nikki Giovanni, The Women and the Men, Love Poems and Blues: For All the Changes. Her peoems really speak for themselves. One of my favorites is " I Wrote a Good Omelet." The book of  love poems was dedicated to the memory of Tupac Shakur. There is also a poem about him in that book. I am always blown away with her ability to say so much with a few words. She can evoke so many feelings and memories in a few lines. If I had the money to do so I would buy copies of all of her books for myself and for all of my friends. Anyone who is left unaffected by reading her writing could only be heartless and brain dead.

I have a collection of poems by Tupac Shakur. He wrote beautiful, powerful poems. He was one of the most talented rappers. It is sad that he was killed at such a young age. More attention should be paid to his talent and less to controversies about him.

I am working on Monday. That is good. I do not know how much I will be working next week, but I will be working at least six hours.

What is allowed in public (adult content, more to cum)

When a man and a woman kiss, hug or hold hands in public few people pay any attention. If two men do the same things there are people who say that what they are doing is obscene. I know that there are people who don't like any public display of affection. I would like to be able to walk down the street holding hands with the man whom I love. I would like to be able to greet him with a kiss wherever we are. It would depend on what he wants whether or not I would do other intimate things for him in front of other people. This would be discussed beforehand. It is my decision to be submissive. It turns me on. There are select places where I could please him in public. I must admit that it would be a turn on to give him a blow job in a place where there is a risk of being caught.

"Quilting the Black-Eyed Pea" by Nikki Giovanni

Nikki Giovanni's book entitled Quilting the Black-Eyed Pea: Poems and Not Quite Poems was published in 2002. Whenever I finish one of her books I want to read more of her writings. She can comfort us with words, but the role of the writer is not always to comfort. She writes often of racial injustices. Those injustices continue today. She writes about the accomplishments of African Americans. She hints at sexuality. Here are some of my favorite lines from this collection:"And isn't that literature should teach us. To be our own hero. To love. To cry. To laugh. To live. And try to let others live, too." I do not believe that anyone can read her writing without being affected. When we look at photograph of the author on the cover of the book we see intelligence, wit, mischievousness and joy among other things. I feel a bit sad, because I will have to return this book to the library, and my other books by her are in a place where I cannot now read them. I will enjoy them again when I have access to them.
Actually there are three more books of her poetry at the library. Yay!

Which Countries Are Advanced?

Why is it that the countries with advanced weapons are often seen as being more developed than those without those things but have developed spiritually and/or artistically? Governments do not think that the people o Tibet have anything to contribute to society, so their plight is ignored. This is tragic. The level of the civilization should be measured by help the poor and the foreigners are treated. Countries that want to control other peoples are barbaric. Those who want to live in peace with others are advanced.

The President should be elected directly by the people.

In the U.S.A. we have two major parties. All other parties are treated as "independents." Only the Republicans and Democrats get major media attention. People who vote for independent candidates are said to be throwing their votes away. We need to bring the two-party system to an end. Other parties should be able to have primaries. After the parties choose their candidates elect their candidates there should be a preliminary election, and the two top candidates from that election should run against each other in the final election. Here I am talking about the presidential election. The people should be able to vote directly on the candidates in every step of the process.

"Chasing Utopia: A Hybrid" by Nikki Giovanni

Chasing Utopia: A Hybrid is a collection of poems by Nikki Giovanni in 2013. The poetry of Nikki Giovanni can stimulate all of the senses. The Utopia mentioned in the titular poem is a beer that is brewed by Sam Adams with a suggested retail price of $190.00 per bottle and with an alcohol content of 27%. In the poems of the book there are references to foods, beverages, literature, music, civil rights, arts, etc. I have seen her referred to as being controversial. This is something that I do not understand. She has often spoken out against racial injustices, and she is known for directly stating her views on various subjects. I would recommend savoring her poems. One would miss a great deal if would speed read her writings just as one should savor every bite of a sumptuous meal. Few writers move as much as she does. She definitely deserves all of the awards and accolades that she has received.

The Langston Hughes Reader: The Selected Writings of Langston Hughes

The Langston Hughes Reader contains selections of the works of Langston Hughes in various genres: poetry, prose, drama, etc. previously I had not read much of his writing. I had mostly read about him. I saw this book in the library, and I decided to make up for my deficiency. I am glad that I did. He was one of the most important writers of the Twentieth Century.  He wrote about slavery, the Jim Crow South, the Spanish Civil War, Jazz, and more. His writings are humorous, educational, tragic and sometimes ribald. In ways his writings have things in common with rap. Some people thought that he wrote things that were too vulgar. The things that he wrote need to be read today to remind people that the riots and racial injustices have been going on for much too long. It pains me to realize that the color of one's skin can be in some circumstances a death sentence. There were people who were denied medical attention at a hospital that was close to them because they were not white. Then these people died on the way to a hospital where they could be treated. That is barbaric. Racial injustices conti An editor who was going to publish one of Langston Hughes' stories was disconcerted, because he could not identify the race of characters in the story. He asked Hughes to add modifiers so that the race of the characters would be evident. Why was this important? His writings are as relevant now as they were when they were first published.

The Spice of Life

I believe that if people from different countries got to know each other and focused on similarities instead of differences we would find that we all have more in common that most people think. It is easier to learn different languages if we do not let our fear of things that are different get in the way. Instead of saying, "Oh no! It is so different!" we should say, "OK, it's different, but that only makes it more interesting." That would help us with relations with people from different countries or different parts of our own countries. We would get along better if we would be open to getting to know each other and enjoy the things that we have in common and enjoy and learn from our differences. I am thankful that we are not all alike. That makes life more interesting.

I do not want "USA über alles"

When people in the U.S.A. talk about this country being the greatest country I am reminded of "Deutschland über alles." I have never felt nationalistic or patriotic. My point of view has become more international over the years. I do not want to see any group of people in any country or any country being oppressed by those who in error see themselves as being superior. No one is better than anyone else. We are all equal. John Lennon sang about imagining that there are no countries. I have come to see this as desirable. Boundaries that separate people into nations are artificial. I may be an idealist, but we would all be better off we would help each other instead of trying to accumulate all that we can get. I believe individualism, but that does not mean selfishness.

Когда люди в U.S.A.

"Racism 101" by Nikki Giovanni

Racism 101, published in 1994, is a collection of essays by Nikki Giovanni. Her writing always moves me deeply. The essays in this collection cover topics that range from Spike Lee's film about Malcolm X to Toni Morrison to Star Trek to racism in education to the tenure system to gardening, etc. Nikki Giovanni is mostly known as an outspoken poet. All of these essays have a poetic element. I cannot imagine anyone reading her writing and remaining unmoved. I first read a poem by her sometime before 1977. Her writing feeds the mind and the soul. I highly recommend her writings to all.

A Form of Death

I cannot understand how people can limit their points of view to one culture, one language, one genre of music, etc. I want to learn about as many different languages and cultures as I can. I love hearing new genres of music and trying new foods. For me learning about a new field of study is exciting. For me to stop growing spiritually, emotionally or intellectually would be a form of death.

A Brief Post about Ukraine and Wanderlust

I was in a store this morning where the Olympics were on the television. Ukraine won the Canoe Sprint Gold Medal. i felt a rush of excitement when I heard this. Ukrainian is another language that I would love to learn. I do believe that I would be able to learn it. Ukraine is one of the countries with which I feel a special connection. I would love for peace in that country. I would love to be able to spend time there. I have made friends from there. Eugene Hutz, the lead singer of one of my favorite bands, Gogol Bordello, is from Ukraine. pI definitely want to learn more about the history and culture of that country.

What would be great would be able to combine some of the things that I love most learning languages, travelling, writing, trying new foods, meeting new people and pleasing a special man in my life in different countries and if he wants to please other men in those countries. I definitely am showing the symptoms of wanderlust.

Update 18/8/16

I have new phone. That will make getting a job easier. It is almost impossible to get a job without a phone. Transportation will be easier once I have an income. I am slowly getting my life together. I will be glad when I have a job, a home and I am with the man I love. I may not know yet where I am going, but things are looking up. Maybe someday I will be able to make a living as a writer, to improve my language skills and to live with the man I love. I am not yet happy with where I am in life, but I am happy with who I am.

A Dream I Had About Russia and a Dream I Have About a World Without Discrimination

I recently had a dream where I had moved to Russia. In the dream LGBTphobia had ended in that country. I was excited about that and that I was going to be able to learn to speak the language. I was happy, because I was going to be able to immerse myself in the culture of that country. In the dream I felt like I was at home.

I dream of the day when there is no discrimination anywhere on this planet. I dream of a day when everyone can love freely without fear of what other people will think of their love. Loving someone should not have to be political.

No sonho LGBTphobia tinha terminado naquele país.

"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee

It has been several years since I read To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This book is as relevant today as it was when it was written. There have been some changes in the justice system since the book was written, but some of the injustices portrayed in the book are still taking place. Juries are no longer composed completely of white men, but it is still hard for African Americans to get fair trials. Too  many African Americans are harassed or killed by police officers.  This is a book that makes me laugh, cry and get angry. This book is worthy of all of all of the accolades that it has received. I hope that this book is still in school curricula. We need to make sure that injustices similar to the ones that are portrayed in this book cease to happen.

Focusing on what I can do

Sometimes I have to remind myself to focus on what I can do instead of worrying about the things that I cannot do. I can use my tongue very well to speak different languages and to please a man. Both of these require the use of my mental capabilities and imagination. I enjoy using my imagination to please a man, to write and to communicate with others. I also use other parts of my anatomy to please a man. I love it when I know a man likes sexually and what he likes in other ways so that I can show him love in many ways. I hope that I will find a job, a home and a man whom I can please.

An Unexpurgated Statement of Views From My Earlier Post

I am not sure why I have as strong a negative reaction as I do when I see the US flag or hear the national anthem. Mostly I feel anger and nausea. Part of this is because this country claims to be a republic  a democracy. It is neither. It is an oligarchy. The founders of the country wanted an oligarchy. It was not their intention for all adults to be able to vote. There is supposed to be freedom of religion in the USA, but we don't really have it. Also the US flag is not very attractive. As for the "Star-Spangled Banner, it is not a very good tune. It is said to be based on an English drinking song. Maybe it is more tolerable if you're shit faced. Then there is the pledge of allegiance. It contains the phrase "under God"...so much for religious freedom. It ends with "liberty and justice for all."... what a load of crap.

A Brief Rant About Bullshit in the U.S.A.

It is probably good that I would never be in the U.S. Olympics and standing on the platform after having won a gold, silver or bronze medal. I refuse to put my hand on my heart when hearing the "Star-Spangled Banner" or when reciting the pledge of allegiance. Actually I do not recite the pledge of allegiance. The U.S.A. has the worst national anthem. It does not stir up emotions in me. I would not pledge allegiance to flag that represents a country where all people are not treated equally. This is supposedly the land of the free, but this is far from true. The most vocal Christians in this country make me seriously consider becoming atheist. Some of the bullshit that comes out of the mouth of fundamentalists might cause liberal Christians to question their faith. I did not choose to be born in this country, but I am trying to find my way and to be the person I was born to be.

U.S.A. are cel mai rău imn național.

Sometimes We Have to Compromise

As long as the political system is the way it is in the U.S.A. we need to support the Democratic candidates in the upcoming election. It is important to remain united in the fight to keep Trump and the lunatics on the far right of the Republican Party from ruining this country. I would prefer seeing a strong liberal party in the U.S.A., but now we do not have one. This is a situation where I have to compromise.

Socialism and Anarchy are not clearly understood by the vast majority of people in this country. I am not as well educated on these topics as I want to be, but I am learning. I do know enough to consider myself a Socialist Anarchist, but I will vote for the Democrats in the upcoming election.

"Go Set A Watchman" by Harper Lee

Harper Lee wrote Go Set a Watchman in the mid 1950s. It is a sequel to To Kill a Mockingbird. It takes place twenty years later. I need to re-read To Kill a Mockingbird. Go Set a Watchman is a well-written book that entertains and makes one think. Race relations are a theme in both books. Class relations are also a theme. Another theme is standing up for what one believes. The book made me laugh several times. It also brought to attention the injustices of different kinds of discrimination. Race and religious discrimination are the primary ones brought to mind. This is another classic of Twentieth-Century literature. I just wish Harper Lee had written more books.  She died in February of this year.

I remember reading that there were people who claimed that Truman Capote had written To Kill a Mockingbird, because it was thought to be the only book that she had written. Some people did not think that she could have written a Pulitzer-prize winning novel as her only book. One of the characters of that book was based on Truman Capote. According to Wikipedia there had been plans for a third book to be set in time between the two books. At least we have these two masterpieces from Harper Lee.

The Electoral System in the U.S.A. Is Fucked Up

We really need more that two major political parties in the U.S.A. We currently have a conservative party and a moderate party. There are some smaller parties, but they are ignored by the media and most of the people of the country. The Republican Party and the Democratic Party have big conventions where their candidates for the presidency are chosen by delegates. These conventions give the illusion of this country being a democracy. We need liberal parties that receive as much media attention as the two major parties. The people of the country need to be able to elect the president directly. The members of the political parties could vote for the candidate from their party. Then there could be an election where people vote for whoever they choose from all the parties. Then there could be an election where the top two people from that election would run against each other. The electoral system in this country needs a major overhaul.

"The Walk West: A Walk Across America 2" by Peter and Barbara Jenkins

The Walk West: A Walk Across America 2 by Peter and Barbara Jenkins is a book that I recently started. I am not going to read all of this book. The subject matter is interesting, but the book is not very well written. The authors of the book met, married and went on a journey on across part of the United States. Peter Jenkins had planned this journey before meeting the person who became his wife. I almost did not finish the acknowledgements when I read the following sentence: "We hope our long walk didn't keep them from losing too much sleep, or from getting too many more gray hairs."  Peter Jenkins tried to approximate different dialects phonetically, but he did not do so very well. This is a book that I would recommend avoiding.

"Night of Thunder" by Stephen Hunter

For a thriller Night of Thunder is an interesting book. The plot did have some interesting twists. For me it was a bit too long. The book centered around NASCAR. That is something that does not interest me at all. The hero of the book, Bob Lee Swagger, is an interesting character. The author has written other books about the same character. He is an older man who was a soldier and had an interesting encounter with a samurai. The villains had no redeeming qualities that I could see. It is a book that kept me wanting to find out what was going to happen. I just wish that some of the sections were shorter. One of the better thrillers that I have read, but I have not read many thrillers.

If I am not happy with myself no one else can make me happy.

If I am not happy with myself no one else can make me happy. It does help to have special friends in my life. I am happy when I can spend time with a man whom I love very much. If I can make him feel good it helps me to feel good. I am proud to be able to please him in ways that few others have been able to please him. It makes me feel good to know that I can use my oral skills to make him feel good. He also stimulates my intellect, and I enjoy that too. I am happy being who I am.

Ak nie som spokojný sám so sebou nikto iný nemôže urobiť mi radosť. To pomôže mať zvláštne kamarátmi v mojom živote. On tiež stimuluje môj intelekt, a užívam si to taky. Som rád, bytosť, kto som.

How Can People Justify Supporting Trump?

I do not understand how people can continue to support Donald Trump as a Presidential candidate. He says that he wants to use nuclear weapons.  He does not seem to know what would happen if nuclear weapons were used. He grasp of reality is tenuous at best. He loses his temper too easily. He says that he does not need advice from anyone. Every president has had advisers. He is racist, chauvinistic, homophobic, etc. He cannot stand for anyone to criticize him. He acts like a spoiled child. He has made money by exploiting other people and using bankruptcy laws. I could not watch his reality show. I hope that those who support him will wake up to reality and dump him.

I am happy being who I am, but I still wonder why my brain works the way it does. For me the main thing that is missing from most popular humor in the United States is humor. I remember when I saw "Animal House" the first time I laughed once. second time that I watched it I did not laugh at all. I hated that film. I prefer German, Czech, Polish and Russian humor. I enjoy having eclectic taste. I would rather be a lone wolf than a part of a flock of sheep.

Dávám přednost němčině, češtině, polštině a ruštině humor.

Wolę niemieckim, czeskim, polskim i rosyjskim humor. I cieszyć się posiadaniem eklektyczny gust. Wolałbym być samotnikiem niż część stada owiec.

"The Killing Kind" by Chris Holm

The Killing Kind by Chris Holm is a thriller that I would recommend. The characters are interesting, somewhat multi faceted. The plot has interesting twists. It definitely is more intriguing than One Bad Thing. This book was hard to put down. It is about a hitman who goes after other hitmen. Criminal organizations and the FBI are after him. Often I was surprised by how things in the book were resolved or left unresolved. Fortunately the ending was unexpected. This novel is completely satisfying.

Why is the World divided into developed and developingng countries?

Why are some countries said to be developed while others are said to be developing? Many of those that are said to be developing have cultures that are older than those of the so-called developed ones. Has progress ended in n the"developed" countries? Some people think that technological advances are what matters. There are other ways in which countries develop. Being able to care for the people and the environment should be signs of development not how much technology a country has developed. The"developed" countries tend to look down on the"developing" countries and to exploit them. We are all on the same planet, and we all need to care for each other and to treat each other with respect.

No Country is the Greatest (Kein Land ist der Größte)

Why do people feel the need to say that one country is the greatest? I have a high opinion of Michelle Obama, but why do people think that one of the best parts of her speech was when she said that the U.S.A. is the greatest country in the world? The President of the United States is not the leader of the free world. The U.S.A. is not a free country. As long as any groups of people are treated like second-class citizens this is not a free country. The citizens of the U.S. territories cannot vote in federal elections. This is not the sign of  a free country. The President of this country is not elected by the people. The President is elected by the Electoral College.  It is possible for the President to be elected without the support of the majority of the citizen's of the country. This is not the greatest country in the world. No country is the greatest.

"One Bad Thing" by Bill Eidson

If you replaced one word in the title of One Bad Thing it would be an apt description of the book. I would just replace "Bad" with "Mediocre." Of course on the dust jacket of the book there were blurbs by people praising other books by the author, Bill Eidson. There was even a blurb from Peter Straub, the author of one of the best horror novels, Ghost Story. I was expecting a book full of suspense and twists. Instead this is a predictable story with unremarkable characters. Perhaps his other books are better. I do not plan on finding out. I have other ways to waste my time. If I had had another book on hand I would not have finished this book. There was one surprise at the end of the novel, but if you want your mysteries to keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next look elsewhere.
