How Far Are We willing to Go to Stand Up for Freedom?

How far are we willing to go to stand up for our freedoms? Plastic People of the Universe in Czechoslovakia and members of Pussy Riot! in Russia were not afraid of getting arrested for standing up for their rights. I would hope that I would I would have the nerve to stand up against oppression even if it meant getting arrested. Fortunately I do not have to worry about that. There are people who give credit to Ronald Reagan for the end of the Soviet Union and oppression in Central and Eastern Europe. I do not think he had any impact on that happening. I think the ones who deserve the credit for that are the people who lived there and risked all for freedom. He just happened to be president in the U.S.A, when it happened. The only ones he was really interested in helping were the rich. Malala Yousafzai did not let getting shot stop her from standing up for her beliefs. We need to keep pressure on the government to close Guantanamo Bay. There is no reason for this violation of human rights. We need to improve the living conditions of Native Americans living on reservations in the U.S.A. This is supposed to be the land of the free, but is it really?
